i don't blame you for wanting you SS back...ls1's kick ass and are half the price to mod for a much faster car.

then dont race a drag civic, if you did not read mikes post about the HEAVILY modded and turboed civic he raced, i stood on the side of the street while it went down and that stock ty MURDERED the civic.

look you keep making these posts.. you SUCK at driving that ty.. sell it to someone that has an idea what they are doing, or at least is willing to learn.

Learn to do a boosted launch and that question will be answered. As for all the stuff it can break thats a part of owning one and actually driving like it was intended.
Just keep in mind that leaving from idle is like driving a normall aspirated 4wd S10 with a full point of compression lopped off so until boost comes on its going to be slow as hell. What that means is by the time youve got boost a lighter, higher revving, stick shift, econo box is going to hand your ass to you almost every time.
AWD was meant to hook up serious torque and give you a hole shot advantage against your opponent of which you wont get if you leave from idle.

You don't understand...the most unique aspect of these trucks are the "launch". Yes it is very hard on the drivetrain, but if you don't do it when racing, you will lose, and that is exactly what happened you LOST.
Now please do us all a favor, stop racing, or race correctly. You are embarressing yourself and everyone else here. If you daily drive the truck or can't afford to break parts, don't race.
