Radio recommendations

Re: Radio recommendations

Pioneer makes several media controller single DIN decks that will fit in flush without any changes to the ducts. They don't have cd players though. Very versatile control of media inputs. MVH-X370BT and MVH-X380BT. The MVH-X560BT may also fit, but I haven't tried one yet. They are called short chassis radios.

Re: Radio recommendations

someone here is making a double DIN radio bezel and he uses a full android knock off that looks promising.

I have a Pioneer AVH-2700BH double DIN DVD in my current daily and happy with its Bluetooh and media features. the Pioneer apps and CarRadio are crap to be honest.

And I use Crutchfields for all my gear.
They are super helpful, great support and return options and you get almost all of the install accessories for free or half the cost of local shops.

Re: Radio recommendations

The new radio looks nice. Glad it fixed your noise. Is that a shallow mount unit like mentioned above?

That looks very good. Do you have a link to the new kit? I ended up ordering a Sony. I haven't received it yet.

Re: Radio recommendations

Very nice install:tup: I just installed one yesterday in my Sy. I went with the Alpine 9886 model. This model I can say has been my favorite for years (I've owned 5) because it has an ipod cable from the back of the unit that charges you ipod and also lets you control it through the unit. Great sound to. I'm sure everyone has their prefference but over all...looks good.;)

Re: Radio recommendations

I started on my install. Had to use a heat gun of the plastic vents to get clearance. All I need to do now is wire it up. I bought a plug that connects to the old radio plugs. But three of the wire I am not sure were they go and I need to get the truck wire diagram to see what I need to do with them.
