You could always try a diet.. I'm sure a little less weight in the cab would help the issue. Probably be cheaper than constantly buying new suspension parts as well...

I have no doubt in my mind I could build one with the help of a college roommate for cost in materials alone, its just a matter of time (homecoming is a month away) and $..

The syclone might eventually get some nice suspension mods, but i like to keep my ty running, as best as possible anyway.

I would like to do this someday, for improved handling.... but, I don't understand how it solves the problem of lowering the truck 2.5 - 3 inches and not having it bouncing off the bump stops. Just rising rate coilover springs?

well the bump stops are gone, including the bracket but a real stiff spring takes care of that

Stiffer springs = less suspension travel maybe?

Or while you are in there welding all the 4 link you do a mild c notch to accommodate the lowered stance.
I wish I had the resources to 4 link my Ty.

the cladding will hit before a c-notch is needed on these trucks

Yes, its true. Tires and cladding will hit.
I have a triangulated 4 link Jeffery made for me, on my Sy. I like so far. Havent done a good launch with it yet but it corners and rides very well. Very big improvement over leafs, and I have the truck pretty low.

Yes in general. Most of the front coilover kits already have reduced suspension travel.

Re: Rear Suspension mods

Coil springs work better with reduced suspension travel because they offer a progressive spring rate. The further the suspension gets pushed up the more it resists. Leaf springs basically have a flat spring rate.

suicidedoors has a great reputation for shure. are you going to install the kit? you will need a fuel cell to run it cause it interfers with the gas tank i think - don´t forget the c-notch to lay some decent sparks ;-)
I realy wonder how much power it can take and how it acts handling wise.
