Re: Recaro Seats??
Anyone have any recaro Seats in their typhoon? Looking to put some in need to find brackets I'm assuming wondering where to get some?
I have Recaros in my DD pick up. the seats are worth more than the entire rest of the truck. In my case, they don't fit the truck very well. They are too wide. There is a magic point where the seat back is just far enough back to get the seat belt out between the lumbar knob and the arm rest on the door, without being too far forward where it hits the armrest and the door doesn't close. Kind of a PITA, but I like the comfort. It's also impossible to clean on the inside of them, or under them. They are a REALLY tight fit.
For a Typhoon, you will give up the auto-slide feature on the RH seat for access to the back seat. If you use the rear seat for passengers, this may become annoying. My DD is an extended cab pick up. I use it for work, and carry stuff behind the seats daily. The Recaros with their restriction to access to the behind seat area has been a pain since the day I installed them.
To answer your question, I got my brackets
from this place. IIRC, they were $225 for the pair, he gave me a discount for Cash. I drove down and picked them up.
