rerouting ic lines????

ok guys i just rerouted my line like it said to do on syty archives and now their is no movement of antifreeze in my ic i know that thier are no kinks but i don't know if i hooked the wrong hose to the right place or what?? does the hose form the ic pump go to the top or the botttom fitting on the back of the ic???? thanks for the help

You should be able to put your hand on the front bumper and feel it vibrate.

yea the pump works it is just that their is just not any movemnet in the ic when the pump is on!!! the way i have the hoses now is the hose that comes from the pump goes into the top inlet of the ic and the bottom outlet on the ic goes in the top inlet of the heat exchanger is the that the way it is spose to be or is it spose to reversed. but the weird thing is when i un hook the top hose of the ic and turn the ic pump on thier is no coolant coming out but i can hear the pump on and feel the pump moving in the heat exchanger but thier is no coolant i am going to check for kinks in the morning and see if thier any but any other sugestion would be great thanks. sy #2716 Jonathan

There has got to be a kink somewhere then.

There was discussion as far as the BEST way to do this. It really isn't going to matter much what goes in - as long as the fluid is circulating - which your's isn't.

What happens if you pinch on of the hoses off?

I can leave mine hooked up - pinch a hose - not a loaf - and hear the pitch of the pump working harder. I would say if the pitch stays the same - you have a kink. It is gonna be low. How did you route them? Through the fenderwell or just up the side?

other idea is that you have some major air pockets. pour water in the upper ic while leaving the lower pepcock open for a little bit, then shut off the lower.

some lift the uper above the rest of the system to make sure the bubles all leave through the cap.

i can hear the pup working harder now but i have to figure out where the kink is and i know that their were no air pockets becasue i opened teh petcock and also unhooked the lines. also i for got to mention does the stock pump make enought pressure to reroute them?? i ran them up throught the fenderwell and the down throught an opening betweeen the frame and the body! so i am going to go out thier ans look at it when i get done eating and see if i can figure it out. thanks for the help guys

maybe the pump is asking to be replaced?

funny when i tested the 2 spals on my cche (relay powerd by the ic pump)..

water shot a good foot into adam's face for the 1/4 second it was on.

thanks for all the help guys but i finally got it fixed it had air in the lines and also a big ass kink but i fixed it and now after riddin for about 30-45 mins i can put my hand on the ic and it is still cool. i knew the pump worked becasue i too the hose off and had my mom turn the key on and it hit me in the chest and went all over me. but everything is good and sound for now(knock on wood).
