road trip!

well i went to Midland Texas yesterday to look at a sy/ty. they're both in really good condition. i'll tell you about them later. it was a weird trip getting down there though.

i started off by leaving here at 6:30 and by 8a.m. i got my first finger from a guy in a f250 :rotf: it was pretty funny. but other than that nothing went on.

the trucks are in immaculate shape. he has a white/gray '92 ty with 74k miles and a sy with 70k miles. (he has everything done to the trucks since 2001 written down) the ty has nothing wrong with it mechanically. it has some little scratches on the front cladding and some of the side cladding on the wheel well isn't on the body. other than that it's in great shape. the inside is good too. the leather doesn't have any rips or tears in it and the back gate doesn't rattle  i'm looking at getting the ty more than the sy. the sy is also in great shape too. it doesn't have a bed cover but it just got re-painted not too long ago. the inside is good too. both the trucks run great. i got to drive both of them and they seemed fine. nice hard shifts.

the ride back home was more interesting. it was just me driving both ways....5 hours each way (it's a 350 mile trip which is about 6 hours) so i didn't really have anyone to talk to. but anyway....i got my prelude up to 134 mph which was really fun but really windy  it was good though...i'm glad i have a passport x50........but on that note...i got pulled over for speeding and having a front headlight out (not to mention since my bday is january 15th i still haven't gotten my drivers license renewed) so she was going to give me a warning but when she saw my license i was screwed. so now i have a citation i need to get off...can i just renew my license and get it evoked? i think i can but i'm not sure.

all in all though it was a good trip. he's asking $11,500 for the ty and $11,000 for the sy. i offered him $10,250 for the ty. i know it's really low but i need to get it for as cheap :2cents: as possible. i can afford under $11,000, maybe even $11k on the dot. it's a nice truck though so hopefully i'll be getting it soon.

NEVER take a syty up to 134 mph. Bad things can happen.
