After being busy the past few weeks I finally got some of the kinks worked out to get this thing up and running again.
It started out looking like this
I removed the tint, slapped on new tires, and put it back to stock ride height.
I took the HVAC box out since the old one had cracks all over and was about to fall apart.
New box with a fresh coat of paint on it.
Between the 8' long Taylor wires and this ziptie being used as a wire separator, I'm not sure which is the funniest.
I put new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor on it. Then wrapped the downpipe to help keep temps down in the engine bay.
The old plugs came out with .045" gap. I put the new ones in with .028" I give props to the person who put in UR55 plugs. I was expecting to find some Bosh platinums or E3's with all of the other stuff I found.
Some people will believe anything that they see on TV.
Junk
All of the U-bolts snapped as I was taking them off.
Some people should be allowed to own nice things.
Driver side PCV tube open to the atmosphere. Another awesome tie down job.
Who needs this??? lol
The engine bay being put back together in a much neater fashion.
I have no idea what the people/person who installed this were thinking but it wasn't a good thought. I kept having issues with the AC not cooling much at all and when cruising down the highway it would run 210 with the AC on. I never really paid attention to this but Erik pointed it out at the Texas meet. I took the front of the truck off and found this. The hose from the intercooler pump, pumped water to this and then went back to the upper inter cooler. Both water connections at the bottom created an awesome air trap inside this thing which negated its purpose.
Here are some after polishing photos.
