1992 Ty, all stock, 26k miles...
So I am driving to the GF's place, and there is a section of road that goes from 3 lanes down to 2, with one of the original 3 being a right-turn only lane. After it goes across an intersection, you've got about 300 feet before it goes down to one lane. The whole street is about 1/4 mile long where I was...
So I am cruising down the road, in the left lane, and I look in my mirror and see some guy on a motorcycle shooting up through traffic behind me. He's in the middle lane, and clearly thinks he is going to pass me, then change over into my lane, into clear empty-road sailing ahead.
Not so ... not today...
So, of course, I downshift to 3 and I floor it, from 40 mph, get the downshift, and get up to about 60 without him being able to get around. When he realizes that I "cut him off" he figures he'll just pass me later. I am sure he figured I was just being an ass, so after I passed the car that was in front of him, in the middle lane, he comes behind me, then goes around the car, and back into the right (was middle, now just 2 lanes) lane. He gives it the gas...
I floor it, and he is not gaining on me... after about 2 seconds - and I am sure he is in disbelief - I hear him DOWN shift  to try and get around me - STILL no luck! We're hauling now, although I am not quite sure, and the two lanes are quickly coming into one. I stay over the double yellow (no oncoming traffic) to be sure that I don't run him off the road in case he passes me... but it never happens! He never even got to the side of the Ty!
So after we get down to one lane, and he is stuck behind me, I look back. He's right on my bumper, so I give him a thumbs up.
I can see him cock his head for a second, then he puts his head down on the tank for a moment, brings it up and shakes his head! He KNEW he has been taken!
I pulled out my cam and tried to snap a pic out the back window, but it came out fuzzy and over-exposed. So I tried to snap a pic as I was turning off, and he was going by, but missed it!
It would have been GREAT, too, as he was pointing his finger at me - as if to say "You got me buddy!"
I did snap one shot after he passed me, but not close enough to tell what kind of bike it was. It was purple and yellow, and looked to be about a 500, but was probably a 250? Take a look and tell me.
Anyway, my first bike kill! Yay!
