Re: Solid motor mounts
I used standard off the shelf solid motor mounts from a small block Chevy. It requires the lower pad to be welded to the crossmember. All the haters on this forum said I should not do it, but guess what it worked perfect, and it cost 50 bucks not 160. The only down side is you have to place the engine in to locate the lower pads so you can tack them in place. Then you have to pull the engine back out to finish welding. Most people will say to weld in solid motor mounts regardless of application, they have a much greater chance of coming loose due to the added vibration.
