sonoma gt

The question about what makes a sonoma gt a gt from atlantasy in the thread below made me wonder too. I know what they are and what they look like, but I'm not exactly sure what they are. My question is, other than cosmetics, how are they related to a sy/ty? Are they turboed as well? I don't think they are, but I lack the knowledge about sonoma gt's. :banghead:

I don't want to say they aren't anything special - cause that's like telling your adopted brother your parents don't love him. It might be true - but it hurts.

Basically, they are a Syclone without the AWD and turbo. They have a naturally aspirated 4.3 V6 CPI engine making approximately 180 hp (going from memory). They were still made by PAS and there were fewer made and in different colors making them more rare.

Just as fun to drive. Not as fast but you can spin off the tires. The factory set lasted me 22k miles.

Saw a black one on the freeway ramp last weekend coming back from the cabin. It was black, the girlfriend was driving so we didn't catch it :roll: hahaha

One more MINOR really minor difference that I recently noticed but don't recall it being mentioned anywhere... The pass side headliner has an "Oh Shit" handle in a SY but the SoGT does not. Not sure about the TY's, I'm gessing they have it like the SY.

Just thought i'd mention it.

I wonder if that had to do with the 4wd Sonoma origin of the Sy vs. the 2wd of the SoGT?
