Speedometer jumping question

I searched and found a few people had similar issues with their speedometer, but not the same issue I'm having.

I did the speedhut gauges and now my speedometer works fine up to about 40mph, but after that it will jump up or down in large increments, then when I'm back under 40mph and slowing down it will linearly come down like it should.

I really don't want to take the dash apart to fix it and find out it was not fixable or is something else. From search, I read drac might be an issue, but it worked fine before I did the gauge overlays so I'm betting I either broke it or it's a clearance issue with the overlay. (I checked the motion of the needles before putting it together and everything was ok)

Any input?

Speedhut gauges, or overlays on stock cluster.
If overlay, wondering if bad servo motor.
Had trouble with my '04 Tahoe speedo doing wierd things. Recall @ a year old, but only lasted till 2 years ago when it was doing it again. Replaced all servos with new better ones. Works again.:2cents:

Replacing a servo, is that difficult? Where would I get them?

The cluster I got for the red GT only had 8 miles on it so I haven't changed one of these.
The Tahoe was taking it apart exposing the back circuit board, popping off the needles, de-soldering 4 spots for each motor and removing. Install in reverse. Found the servos on line in a kit with full instructions. I'll try to find the business card that came with it and see if they have our style.
