It is NEVER a good idea to "lie" to your truck what is actually going on. This is especially true with a sensor that is as critical as the MAP sensor. Do mods like that and I can assure you that you won't like the results.

As stated above, it wouldnt work right at all. The stock 2 bar map outputs roughly 5 volts at 14.7 psi of boost, which tells the ecm how much fuel to add for 14.7 psi. Now if you just put the 3 bar map in its place, you would hit 14 psi but the 3 bar would only send around 3.5 volts to the ecm, and the ecm would think you are only at approx 5 psi and wouldnt supply enough fuel for the boost you would be making. Lean= detonation= engine damage.

The two sensors are just as different on the vacuum side of the scale too, so your idle quality would suck just as bad as your boost fueling.

Your right... I glanced at my recept here and the G2 was for the GN stuff.

G1 like the above link is correct.
