Do all of you guy/gals that have had your trucks stolen live in bad areas? I don't know anybody that has ever had a car stolen. Maybe it's because I live in the country, idk. It really sux to hear about all the scum that just takes other peoples stuff.

Not stolen but I had my Typhoon towed away during college in no time. Parked at a friends dorm for a little bit and came out and my Typhoon was gone. Thought it was stolen and called around and found out a flatbed came and picked it up and hauled it off.
Makes me very glad I live in an area that has a relatively low crime rate.

Stolen out of my drive way. Pushed on the street and towed away. And I live in an upper class area.

I'd like to think that too, but really, it's a matter of time and statistics. People don't even lock things out here, but that'll bite them in the butt someday.
With the economy going to crap, there's gonna be a lot more thefts.
There are very few lower forms of life than a thief.

...I live in a middle class neighborhood in CO. And vehicles get stolen regularly.
Parking lots, bus lots, malls, and such are the worst. However:
-My motorcycle was taken and it was parked in front of my picture window. Never found it.
-A unknown truck tried to hook on to my auto trailer parked/locked/booted in front of my house (neighbor ran after them waving a flashlight which scared them off)
-Other Neighbor had his jeep taken in the daytime with alarm on in driveway.
There's even a TV Show where a "thief" tries to break into your house and/or steal your
vehicle to "demonstrate" a lack of security. Often he escapes with stuff while people watch.
Even if a SyTy is not stolen, chances are you could get scratched, dented, windows broken, keyed or
spray painted by bored kids nowdays. Once saw a kid spin his car tires leaving a Sonic Drive
in (which threw stones on several parked custom vehicles). When he returned to "cruise" thru
they drug him outta the car and beat the living heck out of him. Nobody called the police
or anything. So this topic can invoke a lot of passion from owners, ranging from gun fights to stabbings in some areas. Dunno if there is a perfect solution nowdays and insurance companies
pay pennies on the dollar usually.
