I OFFICALLY HATE THE FRONT DIFF!!!!!!!!

SORRY I NEEDED THAT.

ok so i am removing the front diff on my bravada to put in a sy/ty oil pan with the drain.

i have everything unbolted .....everything both axles, STEERING LINKAGE IS OUT ALSO! both left side, and both right side bolt's too.
there seems to be some friggin support bracket directly below the oil filter relocater, that has a rubber bumper on it, that s preventing me from rotating the diff up in the back, and down in the front, to gain clearence to remove it.

and no............................. the bolts are too long that hold that bracket on to remove them:rant:
they hit the side of the pan before they come out.....   :squint: :squint: :squint:

please help!!!!! YES I SEARCHED FIRST!!!!!

Nothing like that on my diff. Maybe something Bravada specific?

1994 Bravada only. Never seen it on any other 1st gen T10.

And the bolts DO come out. Just need a little pry-action applied between the RH axle flange and the lower aontrol arm. Only needs about a 1/16" to the left.

I always put it back. Along with the two 'rods' that go from the block to the bottom of the torque converter cover. I can tell the difference in the 'ride' at highway speeds. These all work to keep the engine/trans from "beaming".

DaveP

there were no rods from engine to tranny, and this one was as virgin as they come.

as for the 1994 only, this one is a 92 so.......

If its the same as the sy/ty's then cut the weld around it, then re-weld after you get the new diff in.
