Rick, I will give you $4,000 now. I just got paid today. And Im not buying an R8, so my GF is cool with the sale.:rotf:

Rick, please sell your Ty to him. He wants it very bad and you can't afford to keep it maintained. It would be a win-win situation for both of you. I drove the price up $500 to help you out when all I really was interested in was the steering wheel. I would have swallowed an egg if you said yes to my $3900 offer even though I would have honored it. After revealing your true colors (and seeing through your previous posts, all the problems you have had with your vehicles), I have no desire to do business with you. Don't forget the economy sucks and OPEC continues to drive oil prices up. Holding out on a sale is NOT in your best interest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sy and Ty for sale in Illinois

i offered 8 cash for the pair... no respnose as of yet

That's a fair offer, all things considered but Steve offered $4500 for the Sy and Transdamn topped out at $4,000 for the Ty without the custom $2500 (ha) wheels. That's $8500 combined and he balked. I know he has spent alot of money on them over the past 9 years, the market is in the tank and he is frustrated with realistic offers but IMO, the trucks are costing him more every day that he holds out now.

Up to a point he will lose money. If he holds out and decides to part it out, the cladding will be worth more, inless it gets damaged while the trucks are sitting. There's been seom great deals on running/driving trucks with the bodies in good or above average condition. SO it's a buyers market, I think it will always be a buyers market for these vehicles.

I am intrested in truck. I am trying to find one.

Letting your stuff sit and rot is B/S. Why dont you atleaset tarp them off.

Stop being so remorsefull about trying to move them.

You should really take any offer becasue god only knows what next year will bring.

and by the time your 11 year old is 16 them things might all look like swiss cheez with the rust and rot. The ground holds moisture, and moisture loves metal.

My heated, 4 car garage dont know shit about rust.

Re: Sy and Ty for sale in Illinois

In the end, these are his trucks, and he will do with them as he pleases. Yeah, It's irritating because the majority of us don't see it from his perspective, same could be said about those trucks rotting away in Colorado.

Personally, I don't think anyone will ever recoup the cost of a rare and rebuilt vehicle, especially ones with such a limited fan and knowledge base as these, but to each his own. I hope they eventually go to an owner that appreciates them for what they are, and that it happens before the cladding is held in place by paint and iron oxide.
