do we use the same shocks for a syclone as we do for a typhoon? i think theytake the same model rancho but i wanted to be sure before i bought some. i have rancho 9000X model 99124 on the sy and was wondering if they will fit a ty. naturally i have disconnected the air ride

I just put on the Bilstein HD's. With my low profile tires and these shocks,my Ty feels every bump in the road. I won't buy them again.

i did a search and see a lot of guys like kyb monomax. these are for a twin turbo stroked v8 that makes a lot of power and will be used mainly for racing. i was hoping nolan would see the post and have a reccomendation

you caught that didn't ya phillip... 377 cube all forged motor. top line heads, 350 trans, twin turbonetics. should make near to a thousand horses. aluminum driveshaft, 1000 horse propshaft, efi with big injectors and special management computer. goodrich drag radials. it's built to turn to 8 grand and with 3 gears it'll need it.

i imagine it will run in the low 13's... maybe better  really, it's built to run 10 flat or better. it belongs to a friend of mine in europe, so i'm sure it's never gonna show up on our soil. should tear up over there though. it should be a terror. i put it together for this fella on paper and sent him all the stuff and they are gonna assemble it there. amazingly, it was cheaper to build than a v6 and it's got all the good stuff. scat crank and rods, j&e pistons

My ass. Look at it.
I haven seen anyone recommend the Bilstiens. Theyre great on the Impala (came stock), but the shocks available for sytys are too stiff. Also Bilstiens are hella expensive. Everyone seems to like the KYBs, and for around 210 a set, theyre pretty damn affordable. Ill prolly get the KYBs soon, Imagonna lower the Ty and get rid of the Bitch-ass leveling system and the crap car quest air shocks.

I run blistein HD's and I love them.

I have the Bilstein's especially valved for a SyTY and like the ride quality, maybe next time I might go with Koni-adjustable's, just for the ability to change the dampening characterisitic's. :D

im pretty sure the shocks are not the same for both vehiccles, but it would ultimately depend on what brand your asking about.

i recommend these. they have enough adjustment to meet any needs you may have in a single shock. (turbotime sells these)

And how much would that cost for a Ty.

I have the Rancho RS9000 shocks on my Ty. These are the ones that are adjustable inside the cab, and they work well for me.

i know the front shocks are the same; embarassed to say i dont 'member if the rears are.
the edelbrocks are an excellent street shock, with great ride quality.
i love my konis.
both have a lifetime warranty.
the qa1's are great, and adjust rebound and compression simultaneously, rather then just rebound like the konis.
i sell them all, if you need.
my nearly new konis will be off the truck soon for jeff's suspension, and i will be selling them at that time.

the QA1 shocks are a little pricey. 139.99 a shock but i think the have the best ride and you have twelve settings to choose from. i wouldnt run anything else.
