My vid had 4 plus hours of GMC tech info from the factory, as well as Motorweek car tests, the vid with the Sy and the guy in shades, vids of Tys braking on a frozen lake, it had everything.

For what its worth, I put together "sportmachines - the video" from a number of donated video as well as some form my own collection. Everyone that participated got a free set of the complete release. Not a bad deal, if you think about it.
Never promised a return of a tape. All tapes were all given to Guy for reproduction. I asked for the copies back and never recieved them. Even paid extra for special encoding to prevent illegal copying....
Now, they are on ebay as a DVD...from another california person..
Pisses me off everytime i see one on ebay. Oh well...I get to sleep at night with a concience! Their time will come.

I assume you talking about DOMN8R. You pm'd me that you have been trying to reach him the last 2 weeks. I pm'd you that he was driving out to San Diego, CA with his family, maybe you did fully understand what I wrote. 2 weeks ago, they were moving all his belongings and his father business in a U-haul truck and driving 3000+ miles to CA, along the way they were going to take a scenic trip and make the trip into a family vacaction.
Don't get worked about it man, give him a chance to repspond. Danny last logged into the forum 2 weeks ago today, probably on the day he left.

He may have not reach San Diego by now and/or he may not be settled in. In the past DOMN8R has regularly check the forums, at the very least he probably doesn't have internet access as of yet.

Thanks for all the help, I know when to throw in the towel, and its been a consistent hassle for years in this case. I don't have to name any names, but I know when it's hopeless to expect a resolution with the return of the item. I know it won't happen, and if it does the wait has been inexcusable. I just don't know why people ever accept something when you make implicit eye to eye instructions to get it back. If they are incapable of it, they should refuse it in the first place. Its good to know I can hit up one of you guys, and I will soon, since I know I won't be getting mine returned.

Merk did a great job on those vids ! I remember getting my set & on the actual tapes themselves he had printed something like "Made especialy for Wade K. Francis" on the sticker Talk about attention to detail. I guess thats just something bootleg purchasers will do without.

But in a nutshell Merk compiled the video from a bunch of donated sources. Gave to Guy Levy (sp) for reproduction, never got back orig's and now someone is selling them on Ebay for a substantial profit.

got ya, if merk has them i would not mind sending him some cash i dont ever remember seeing something about these vids being made or going to be made if so i would have given a donation then, maybe before my time, and still will give merk a donation if he can make a copy. or if someone else can make a copy for me i would pay both merk and whoever still has it.

yep, If I remember right, this was just around 98 or 99, when I first got my Ty. Lotta of OG members back then.
