Tach problem

So my battery was dead and I gave it a jump from my wifes blazer. After getting the SGT started I let it warm up and took it out. I noticed after the jump that my tach needle is on the opposite side of the stopper pin. How can I get it back on the correct side of the pin?

I tried turning it off and on again but nothing. I'm assuming I will have to pull the instument panel but I don't know how to do that. Anyone have some K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) instructions on how to do this?

On the same note, anyone know where I can possibly buy a new/replacement instument panel?

Re: Tach problem

mine did that a couple times. rev it up a few times in park and the vibration may pop it back into place. once mine stayed for an hour or so of driving, then just popped into place randomly.

Re: Tach problem

Well got it done this weekend with the help of Member Chest Rockwell. Thanks again. While we had it out I took the time to make some needle stops for the oil pressure gauge and the tach.

I'm so happy about this, made my day!
