I got beat by a Stock talon AWD turbo in my Ty i got a bone stock Ty with 140k. does that sound right, are the talon AWD turbo pretty fast?

the talon was said to be stock (he did have a turbo and AWD) I was just wondering because i just bought the truck and it seems to run strong but i wanted to know if its up to par of just tried. 140k are a lot of miles
also i ran in OD and got a good take off, i was beside him tought out frist geer but when my ty shifted (4krpm) he started to walk from me (he had a stick) then i started to gain barly and the ty shifted he pulled i had the front bumper of my ty about at hes rear
i need data link and computer to see whats going on (please email me if you have a used on for sale)

did you launch properly? i dont care if the talon is AWD, nothing launches as hard(stock) as a syty. you should be able to get at least one car length on another AWD car off the line. IMO....

It proably had the free mods done, which would put him at high 13's. Don't doubt the dsm, there semi quick from the factory, and with some work they can be mean as hell. I think the current record is at 9.66 in full street trim (in the 1/4 mi). not to bad for a shitty little 4 banger huh?

Dsm's pull any where from 1.6-1.7 sec 60' times, what do stock sy/ty's pull? I know this is sy/ty.net, but that is still no reason to lie about shit. I would trade my dsm for a typhoon any day of the week, but that dosen't mean that a ty would automaticly beat a dsm.

I just like rattling your tales. My buddy has one it ran 12.3. He launched at 5000 RPM..pretty wicked 60 foot. I know there fast if you mod them. But a stock ty should beat a stock 1st gen.......

they come stock sucking big dick.
they have to run 12psi stock to get the power, and they also have 8.5 to 1 compression. where the 1g has 7.8:1 and runs 9-10psi stock.
also, the 1g has a stout motor that can withstand a helacious beating, the 2g will pop and crankwalk.
as for the launch. sorry, despitethe 600lbs difference i still think that a stock sy will kill a gsx or tsi awd off the line. damn the torque is too great.

How the hell do you lose to a Talon? I just killed an Eclipse GSX (same car) with a totally stock WRX. I know that the Sy's and Ty's are faster than my car because E is my roommate and I have seen them in action. It looks like you need to do a little wrenching or take driving lessons from my little sister...

the stoker motor will be sweet!
2.5" dp, i have an evo III o2 housing gasket and the turbo outlet whole is huge. it is about 2.8" big. so a 3" pipe would be awesome for it. fuck a bunch of 2.5"
