Test and Tune at SGMP

I think I am going to test and tune this Saturday at the Valdosta, Ga track. It is from 1 to 4 and the gates open at 11. It is a very nice track. Is anyone else interested in going?

Yes. Not spectacular. My best 1/8 was 7.41@91 mph, and I never made a good full 1/4 run. I was only able to launch with about 8-10 psi. Any more than that and tire spin killed me. Time for some sticker tires. My best 60' was 1.627, which is an improvement over past runs.

All in all, it was fun and a good day. Nothing broke and I was able to make back to back runs with no problem. Next step is to bring my timing advance up past the 21 degrees of total that I am running now. I have 12 plugs ordered so I can take the truck out and dial in the proper advance.

Are you on the Facebook page? I might have ridden up there, but don't check this as much.

How was your MPH -vs- past runs prior to cam swap?

Nice Randy!

I'm sure there's a ton more in it. I ran 7.13 @ 96.95 1/8th mile. 19-20psi 20-21* timing.

Keep us updated.

Re: Test and Tune at SGMP

So did you run 11.6 at 112mph in the 1/4?

No. I did an easy launch on only full 1/4 run to verify my trans was shifting good, which it was. My 60' on the 1/4 run was 2.058 and I ended up with 12.4 @111 mph.

After that run they told me I had to have a helmet, but they let me keep running because I told them I would let off after the 1/8 marker.
