Thanks Silly, that is a SWEET truck too, but I was talking about the Sy with the GMC Motorsports decal on the bed......

That was Syborg Twin Turbo's (Marty) 1st Syclone he converted to the Indy Syclone pace truck replica. There were 3 actual Indy pace trucks. The PPG is an indy pace truck as well. Martys applied the indy graphics to his truck as there were a few replica sets made.

So, all this talk about the GLG, does that mean we can have one again this year? I was dissapointed at not having one last year. But hey, my truck will be there this year for sure.

What made a lot of these "types" of events spectacular were the
wide range of SyTy builds, the supportive comradery between members, the street exhibitions/scenes during the event and also a very low budget/cost!

Last time I brought the NOJIMMY Ty out to a similar event their was street racing,
(on frontage the road in the daytime), garage lifts available (at the semi truck shop which sponsored the ongoing car show in their front massive parking lot)
catered food, a local band, burnouts, and night cruising with the locals (and more street racing).

Didn't cost an arm-n-leg, close to the hotel, and the semi truck shop was
so large that rain didn't stop the fun because folks moved indoors or just got wet.
Probably 50 SyTy's and 30 muclecars all gathered for show, go, and benchracing!

Unfortunately those days are long gone...or only brought back to life on TV Shows.

always great seeing the old pics, i used to live in naperville as well, and i hope the chicago crowd continues to be more active again, could be a great year. look forward to it.
