Tire size question.

On my TY right now i have ZR1 wheels. The sizes on there now is:
285/40/17-front
335/35/17-rear

I was looking on tire rack last night and saw Sumitomo HTRZ's for cheap. The size would be as follows:
245/45/17-front
315/35/17-rear

As of now with hte massive 285's up front, I get pulled all over the place and its borderline scary sometimes. So with the 245 up front, will this be cured or will the 315's still pull me around?

Most of the pulling from large tires is from the front (the wheels that can turn )

I have 275's up front and I get some pulling, but most of the time its really not that bad.

me too but yes with 245's up front it'll cut down a little more on the pulling but it may still be there some

I just cant believe how cheap this set up would be. Im gonna get em. Next month when I get my money. Its $395 shipped. Of course Il have to have them mounted and balanced but thats ok when you take in to account htat tire shops around here do not recognize HTRZ's anymore.

I have 275's up front and hate the way it pulls.. next time I'm gonna just got with a 245 or 255 up front if possible

Since a transfercase is involved, whats the max allowable difference in tire sizes front to rear?
Or are these mixed sizes too minimal to make a diff?

Where did you find an 18x12 Z06 wheel? 295 in the front are going to pull you right into a ditch my friend.

if your steering has any slop, not that a sy or ty could, that would seriously increase your problem even with the narrower tires. might be time to peek the tie rods and streering stuff

Yeah I saw them on EBAY too right after I posted that. Thats one of those..."When I get the money...."
But really, if I had countless bucks to spend, I would go with the geiger look, have some Z06 18x 12's cut off and the offset changed to make a nice dish. Ofcourse I suppose I could just have them custom made right? But thats what I would do if I had that kind of money. Not sure why it matters but just thought Ild share.

This is what i have on my Syclone right now.....except I'm on the 9.5's up front. The 295's aren't nearly as wide as you might think.....atleast when you look back at the 345. Using the 9.5's you get the same amount of bubble on the front as you have on the back. I was worried a little bit until I had it mounted.
