Ok guys I hate to ask, but i cant find this information anywhere

there is this stupid kid in my school that thinks hes such a hardcore racer and says his friends ty is gonna be running 9 flat when its done being built....

Now Im all for the tys as I used to want one, but come on this really cant be serious.... so Im asking if anyone has any clue as the fastest typhoons in the world run

I ran 11 flat on 15psi with a t66 and a fully setup truck, now dipping 10's; AWD in my Ty. Its possible for him to do it, but hes not going to be running 9's in a ty, Unless its: A) 2wd B) tubed C) fully built engine tranny and drivetrain and a ton of work overall. My vote, ERRRRT, not gonna happen, 10's maybe.

Oh and PS that timeslip tab is 100% innacurate for Typhoons et's. (cuz im not there )

I am with TyphooL7, "not going to happen". Someday someone will stick a Ty in the nines and maybe an odd-fire Ty in the low nines, but it's going to be at a high price in which most people would much rather do it with a Sy. Easier to do and cheaper. I switched to a 2WD tube chassis setup in my new Ty project because with all I have done to push my AWD TY into the 10s. To run nines would be like starting over, ie; rebuild motor, different trans, more weight loss etc. Then possibily cutting some on the rear frame and body to handle a 12 bolt or a nine inch rearend. I am not willing to do that on my AWD Ty.

as of this second right now yes stock the only thing i've done is i got the book for the internals for nissans version of the vtec (the cvtc) and i've tuned it and upgraded the fuel injectors, so as right now its running about 220-235hp...which i know is still pretty slow for that car, but im waitin on mail delivery on the turbo kit (the full turbo kit with the down pipes front mount inner cooler and all) the cold air intake, the forged and polished pistons, titanium crankshaft, the heads right now are out getting machined, waitin for my race mechanic to get in the stage 2 suspension, and the cross drilled and slotted brakes...soo by race season shit will be propper..and as far as the typhoon goes how does 9 seconds flat sound

you said you have an SE-R right? well then why would you have heads? its an inline 4 cylinder
you mean to tell me your getting all this work done and your only putting an intake on the motor?

are you lowering compression to 8.5:1 for a turbo or upping it for natural aspiration?
I doubt they would have a titanium crankshaft for your car considering that you wouldnt need titanium probably into the 1000horsepower range.... a billet crank with fillet ends would be suffice...

and as for your friend with the 9 sec typhoon, id really like to see that, since its totally made up anyway.... this of course is considering that the fastest syclone on the planet(which is sponsored and has 100s of thousands of dollars in it, is running in the range of 9.89s......) and not to mention weighs 500lbs less then a typhoon....
