Hey Frank sorry for your loss...was your crank cryoed or nitrated?
Nitrated. Looks like the cylinder collapsed and the piston got jammed in the cylinder then the cranks front lobe snapped. Im sure had the cylinder #1 not caved in the crank would of made it into the 9s. Id recommend hard blocking up to the freeze plugs, if building a bad ass Stock block motor.
was your block filled with hardner?
Correct me if im wrong frank, but the bare block on the stNd in the shop was the motor. It had a huge hole in the cylinder. Didnt see any filler in there.
Any idea how much the ty weighted on this run?All the more reason to be impressed just how fast it went. No fill,3" full exhaust, full interior with roll cage, 18"1wheels, C16 gas, and my fat ass.
never weighed it.. But its not lightened up at all. if anything its heaver. 18" wheels, 4l80e roll cage. Whats the stock weight anyway???
