Does anyone have a diagram for RPM's stainless steel trans lines? Would like to double check that I put mine together right.

Thanks

Re: trans line diagram

For the rpm 3 line kit with remote cooler

The trans cooler lines:

top of trans to bottom of aux cooler (longest line)
bottom of trans to bottom of radiator (second longest line)
top of trans cooler to top of radiator (shortest line)

Re: trans line diagram

i've seen many cars set up with a aux cooler with a small fan for the trans, and did away with the trans cooler in the radiator , is this alright to do ? whats the advantage or disadvantage ?

Re: trans line diagram

I am thinking of a fan on my trans cooler. City driving and I am at 210. 5 min on the highway and it drops to 170-180. The air flow helps a lot. A guy told me the radiator is more of a warmer than a cooler??? I never heard of that one. He said its made to warm up the fluid and then keep it at a good temp? I left mine hooked up.

Re: trans line diagram

Many dont re-use the trans cooler portion of the radiator .Also having the trans temp sender before or after the cooler makes a big difference . Some want it before so you know how hot the tranny is , some want it after the cooler to make sure its cooling down enough . Both are correct , one is preferance .

Re: trans line diagram

Summit Racing in there FAQ section recommends, to block the cooler in the radiator and let the radiator cool only the engine!!

Re: trans line diagram

if heat is the number one killer of transmissions , then why would you use the radiator to heat the fluid up ??? just curious......

If you didn't...it would be sludge from the start, so, we heat it up to aid in lubrication...chunky stuff doesn't get into the right area's.

Re: trans line diagram

Not sure if it's heat or poor fluid..either or I guess !!! I know for a fact that porr fluid will damage EVERYTHING !!!!!
