Ty Mai Shoe

hey i just got a 1992 ty. My dad bought it for me because he grew up around chevy's and simply this car kicks ass and looks like no other... Anyways I do need some parts for it and i am open to advice, very open to it... lol. I live in LA on the west side of the US and am ready to hit the streets

Welcome just wait a little bit and learn as much as you can about the ty before planning any mods . its already 16 years old and I guarantee something needs attention . If you dont beat on it all the time , it will give you lots of enjoyment .

My dad also bought me a typhoon. I cant tell you how many complements I get everyday.It feels so good. Just a word of advice, I know its fast but dont beat the crap out of it everyday, you will find out the hard way like I did.About 2 months after I bought it the transmission went and it wasnt cheap and I paid for it myself.Nothing on these trucks are cheap so I recommend taking it easy if you want it to last and have money left in the bank.

oh yea, im planning on taking care of it like i do with all my cars, and yes parts are expensive!!!! But yea, i was wondering is their a kit for like a gas cut so if any people try to steal gas? And where to buy who to trust you know...

sure you can buy a generic locking cap for it. a lot of the part that look like s10 are just that s10 parts

I have a locking gas cap.people look at me funny when I get gas because it takes me like 5 minutes to get the stupid thing off but its useful.

Is this something people are doing in high school parking lots? Siphoning gas out of each others tank? If I caught anyone doing that to me I would just go under their car and disconnect their neutral safety switch. See how far that stolen gas gets them.

not that I know of but could for all I know. I park all the way in the back of the school parking lot, so nobody just happens to walk by and scratch it, they have to make a special trip.
