Ok Im new this is my first ty I bought it from the orig owner the truck has almost 300k on it and everytime the thing farted it was in the shop. it has had nothing but mobile one oil, and was owned by a senior.(not drove hard) this guy even kept record of everytime he got gas. the problem im having is once its warm and you sit at a light or get into light boost 5psi or so it has light smoke. however it doesnt do it all the time,motor has great compression and you can rev it in park and it wont smoke most the time. truck has a rebuilt oem turbo with 45k on it. I was told valve guides or the turbo. its just really wierd full boost no smoke and it only smokes on light boost about half the time. any help thanks

300K??!!??!!?!? Just be happy that it runs, much less smokes under load.

haha It actually runs better than ones with 100k I think it maybe the valve guides. its just wierd if you do a wot pass it wont smoke doesnt smoke when you let off. sometimes when you take off it will. under normal driving sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt. nothing leaks. the turbo was replace in 05' with a oem rebuilt turbo (guy paid 1800 lol) maybe the dealership didnt do the critical turbo break in. Im just not sure, maybe the valve guides are seeping a bit while its running? if you drive it for a bit and shut it off and let it sit for 30mins or so and restart it she will let out a big puff of smoke. but then sometimes it doesnt. any more ideas?

If you can feel the turbo impellor blade hit a tight spot that is not good, broken blades is not good either. It should spin freely. I would be surprise with you mileage if iy injected part of the crossover tube, I am noticing more and more truck with 125K + havng problem with them breaking.
