Ty won't start, need help

First I know this should be in one of the other forums, but I'm looking for quick responses so I figured I'd put it in here.

Anyway, I went to start my ty after leaving a friends house tonight and it wont start. The battery is not dead (headlights, windows, radio, etc...all work), but when I turn the key nothing happens..not even the click of the starter. I tried jumping it anyway, and that didnt work. I checked for blown fuses under the dash and found none. It started and drove fine earlier today...this has me stumped.

My truck is sitting on the side of the road at my friends house right now, so any help asap is greatly appreciated.

No anti-theft other than the ultimate chip, I cycled through all the settings and still nothing.

Re: Ty won't start, need help

check your pm sent you a message. that will most likely solve your problem. Where you at in DB? My parents have a condo in Oceans. My dad is moving down to retire and looking for a part-time job at Home Depot or Lowes. These things always have a problem starting. The wire to the starter is not good enough and either is the starter.

Is it possible that it's not all the way into Park? Isn't there some sort of sensor that won't allow it to start in Drive. Try Neutral, should start there ok too. Just my thoughts... hope you get it going.

I had this exact some problem in my Ty.. Turns out the infamous purple wire (from starter to firewall) was so badly coroded it was shorting out and the truck would do nothing. I yanked the starter, cut the wire and put on lengths of new wire and it cracked right up. No warning to the truck not starting either.. just one day BAM wouldnt start.. Hope this could help.

Stab it and steer it

Hope you have it going by now but you could have someone hold the key in the start position and bang on the starter. I may just be stuck.

Re: Ty won't start, need help

Well, today I went over and figured I'd try starting it one more time before I did anything...and what do ya know, it lives...

I'm guessing this has to do with the starter wire, so thats next on the to do list now. Thanks for all the input guys.
