Hey all! I've been in the s-series game for a few years, but i finally bought my dream car! A 1992 Typhoon.

I bought it with some mods already done so i'd like a little help identifying stuff i should know about when it comes time to tune/buy tune/have tuned.

First off, here she is.

Motor was rebuilt, would like opinion, good, bad, meh?
Heres the sheet of specs..

Pic of the a/r .70 m24 turbo, new to turbos so, this bigger, too big, too small, just right?

Anyone know if this is a 3 Bar map?

And what injectors these are? Also, unsure of what the box is, but its hooked up to some wiring and fuel line? probably my fuel pressure gauge and its tied in. Havent had much time to snoop around.

Happy to be a member finally!!

2 BAR map if that part number is correct.
And I believe those are stock injectors.

If those are stock injectors, they will not be enough to support that turbo unless you are running low boost. Do you have a air/fuel gauge?

Agreed! Take it easy on that thing until you verify the chip, and all of the other mods.

Re: Typhoon #1936 in SC. New owner.

Its running 10lb right now, and it has a wideband on the pillar gauges. so far nothing too far out of the ordinary. its mostly running on the rich side which is good. I dont have another typhoon to compare it to but its faster than my 92 2.8 for sure hahaha. so ill be posting another thread into the project section. tune up, window motor, fluid changes, and some other minor stuff. i was considering getting a mail order chip if you guys have good suggestions? this would be after a 3 bar map and injectors of course.

If i was keeping my white/grey, i was going to go with turbotweak. Tried the tuning on my own but over my head. Ill recommend it to thr next owner too if they arent into tuning. Have heard a lot of great things about turbotweak though.

What part of SC, im in Greenville. Your sheet shows you having a cam, and a bigger turbo. I would think you already have a chip in there, or a custom tune.

Update: Speedo works, windows work, tailgate works. put a stock radio in it.. you think best buy would put in speakers for me? dont feel like messing with wiring.. also, where can i get budget friendly injectors? im at 10lbs boost on stockers with 2 bar, i plan on future upgrades and going to 14lbs boost asap. before i do i want bigger injectors just in case.. 2 bar map will handle 14 fine right? dynoing it next week
