Hey guys/gals and all syty enthusiasts, I have a 1992 Gmc typhoon # 226 That I want to put up for sale, The truck for a 92 is not in that bad of condition Body wize, Two fenders, and a small bubbling of paint below the wing would be the only thing besides the Rocker an Fender Cladding of the drive side. The truck is located in Wisconsin I've had it for about 3 years now and took out a loan on it. I have about 3500 left on the loan so im trying to sell it for 4,000 with the value of the trucks been so high. The motor blew on it and I cannot afford to put any money into it with these tough economic times. Im 22 I bought it when I was 19. I dont mind input as the above statement says no saying price is to high or low but I am sure someone would make this road warrior awesome again. The interior is damn near perfect, smoke free Black an Gray with typhoon embroiderd seats I didnt really want to sell it but cant afford to have it right now. Its got the RPM cat back exhaust with muffler delete pipe as well and a high flow 3 inch cat. I had the shurflow pump set up on it as well it is completely stock I made no altercations to the motor or to the body. you can reach me on here or feel free to email me matthewbollis@yahoo.com I will put pictures up later I have 3 out of the 4 stock rims one of the rims got destroyed from a popped tire incident as well as with the cladding, I have american racing rims on it right now with brand new tires on all 4's Hope someone can help me out thanks

Same exact truck lol just got a rusted out fender on the driver side an a small dent in the passenger side been in wisconsin, I was driving thought my exhaust was dragging on the ground and i looked an my tire was completely off my rim an i was on my cladding when i jacked my truck up the cladding got destroyed, other than that I have the rust bubble as i stated underneath the fin of my truck but thank i will reply

Someone sure enjoyed driving it in the winter. I mean Blazers are ment to be driven right?

Its not a blazer, Its a ty original interior original everything like i said the only mod i made was to the exhaust which is the rpm exhaust, I dont have all the cladding on because like i said it needs to pieces so i thought it would look stupid to keep all it on with 2 pieces i need with the economy the way it is I havnt been able to have extra money to put into the truck thats why im selling it

Okay, I'll step-up...I hope you have thick skin and hope this isn't taken wrong...but...

The truck isn't worth the $3500 that's owed on it.

It's a project to say the least.

To get this truck to be visually appealing is going to take ~$10k...New cladding...new paint...new fenders...wheels...grille...fog light...body work for the rear hatch...etc. And that's just for what we can see in the pictures.

Not to mention it's got a blown motor in it. And when you say blew, what exactly blew up? You're going to be looking at, what, around another $5k+ to replace the motor in it.

If you want to get anywhere close to $3500 for it, you're going to have to be a GREAT car salesman and post it on Craigslist and hope that you find someone who think's it's going to only take a few grand to fix the issues and that it will then be worth $25k+.

As far as the interior...well...there are no recent pictures posted up. No offense, but if you think the body "is not in that bad of condition", I don't know how immaculate the interior would be to my definition of "damn near perfect".

As much as people hate to say it and do it, I think the majority of the people here are going to agree:
Start taking shit off of it and selling here, on eBay and/or craigslist.
Part out as much as you can from that truck and you will probably hit your $3500+ mark that you need, ASSUMING that the interior parts are in great condition.
Once you have it stripped and paid off the loan, take the shell to the junk yard and get the scrap price for it.

If you DO decide to part it out, almost everyone on here is always looking for something, so I think that you could part-it fairly quickly, or at least the main majority of it.

Not trying to be mean, piss anyone off or anything...but lets face it...this is what 90% of the people on here are thinking after seeing the most recent pics.

I think you have two options.....

1...Part it out.

2....Find a solid 2 door Blazer/Jimmy and start swapping parts.

Part it out or give it away if you can't fix it. It's more work then the Typhoon is worth.

Saw your other thread.
If I could make a few suggestions:

Get some pics uploaded to that thread asap. Also, make a list of what you want to get $ wise out of what parts. If you don't know what to ask, research or just say it.

I am hoping that you have some time to dedicate to this, because as you can already see, people are lining up with requests, and stripping and shipping a vehicle is a timely and daunting task.

When its all said and done, you'll have the loan paid off (or very close), and not a loss. Good luck.
