Vendors / Members Beware "Juan Ramirez" Denver CO

SYTY SUPERSTORE
Just a heads up for any vendor or member who is looking to do business with Juan Ramirez out of Denver Colorado. There used to be a forum for black listed frauds like this, not sure what happened.

Juan Ramirez ordered a syclone cat back exhaust through our website. We shipped it out to his confirmed address, he signed for it with UPS delivery confirmation then called his credit card company saying he didn't authorize the payment.

We made several attempts via phone and email to have the exhaust returned, but with no success. Long story short, credit card company sided with the fraudulent buyer, and we never received the exhaust back.

I just don't understand the logic here but i guess that's part of business.

Id get a lawyer for this one. Across state lines, and the evidence against this guy, I don't see how it wouldn't end in your favor.

there is a thread in the classifieds http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=98930

but the Marketplace Announcement had expired, so that has been restored http://www.syty.net/forums/announcement.php?f=40, I will add Juan Ramirez to the list and link it back to this thread. If there is any additional information to be added, just PM me

Sorry to hear about this, I will never understand how people like that can sleep at night. Hopefully karma will visit him soon.

Not sure how that would work in his favor considering he signed for it, that's a crock

Thanks Mike for the heads up! Luckily we've only had this happen once, and it was the same thing. Really frustrating with no recourse.

thanks for understanding guys.. not much we can really do. This stuff does happen, although VERY rarely.

just imagine going into Best Buy and getting a brand new TV then calling later saying you weren't happy with the quality or you didnt authorize the payment even though you were there and signed for it.. and in the end you get to keep that awesome top of the line TV you picked up.. logic.. dont get it sometimes.

how come you say there is nothing you can do? isn't it fraud both to you and the credit card company? usually a letter from a lawyer will scare him into returning the parts or $$, far as i can tell he committed mail fraud, and credit card fraud so far, if you have legit info on the guy have someone who lives in his area confirm the people that live at the credit card address, capture license plates etc. then get all the info pay a lawyer a small fee to write up some legit letter with all his personal info. maybe i'm going to far ahead and you are already covering your bases if so wish you luck, very unfortunate

with time spent and lawyer fee's this would probably add up to triple what they lost on the exhaust... unfortunately this is the shitty part of doing business, every now and then you have to deal with a douche bag. sorry mike....

Im the type of person that would rather spend the money to get my parts back than him have them for free.

X2 I'd drive to Colorado and get them back myself just to prove a point you don't shit where you eat....:2cents: or I'd sneak down there and quietly remove the exhaust from his truck. Then I'd leave a note on the windshield with a condom taped to it and ask that he not to reproduce!

Is there a way you can see what IP address was used to make the purchase and compare with a moderator on here to see if it matches someone's screen name used to log on the site. There is a member on here that came to mind immediately since he recently purchased a Syclone and has been doing some restorations recently, and his location says Denver,CO; he'd definitely be a person of interest in my book considering his real name you posted and his screen name( which I can pm you), and the fact he logged in today but obviously didn't post here, which I'm sure he won't cause he wants to fly under the radar, maybe post his address also that was used as the shipping address( possibly someone local can just drive by and make a confirmation). Although it wouldn't be logical to get a lawyer since the fees accrued would far outweigh the cost of the item, it's the principle, plus others who have ill will nature could get the idea they can do the same and get away with it. There are resources available that are free to use. This being one of them, http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx take a few mins and browse around and fill it out and educate yourself. I was given this info from Ebay after dealing with a fraudulent seller, I had posted this in the Carbon34 thread to help other members have some recourse to get some justice but it was deleted by a moderator(hopefully that's not the case again). Hope this helps in some way.

Really crazy that this type of stuff happens.

To me though, it seems that an online transaction receipt and the email/paperwork trail that follows, is just clean straight forward evidence that they did indeed purchase it. F-ing crazy...

People purposely ripping off a small business like that boils my blood. If you want to pursue going to small claims court, I will donate enough frequent flyer miles to you for a free flight. You would just need to pay security fees (~$10).

What is the guy emails address? We atleast can block him from participating on here.
