wastegate and boost

hi, just have a few questions:

can you adjust the boost by a chip? :D

if you adjust the wastegate rod by screwing it in it does raise boost but will it keep the wastegate flap open to far to were it releases boost?

is it true that a 2 bar will not work over 14.7psi and if so why?

it seems like when you put the truck underload on taking off with a boost launch boost comes up to about 18-19lbs but when your driven along at about 10-15 mph and stomp the truck it goes around 20psi but it sounds like it blows off or something has anyone experienced this?

thanks craig

yes with custom chips the boost is adjustable.
tightening the rod only raises the base boost, if it's still controoled by ecm is should not raise the ECM controlled boost.
2 bar is 2 bar. it will wokr over that but the ecm will only see, thus only fuel for 2 bar. if you see more than 2bar on your gauge then you are overboosting and running lean and will need a new engine in quick order. be prepared to replace those pistons and rods and prob several other expensive items.
