Water spotted back window

Rear window on my Syclone is water spotted. Can't feel the spots. But they are there. Tried rubbing compound, wax, various window cleaners. Everything I could think of and has worked on other cars. Read somewhere to use 000 steel wool. Any suggestions.

Don't know the grade of wool, maybe 0000, but make sure it's stainless steel wool. Regular can cause rust spots to appear in strange places.

Glass polish + super fine #0000 steel wool = no more water spots

Re: Water spotted back window

I have streaks on the inside glass after taking all the tint off. Any suggestions on how to make it look new?

Thanks everyone..........BTW I had three layers of tint on the rear window...WTF!

Re: Water spotted back window

I've tried everything mentioned except the steel wool. I've had success with the Zaino window polish when nothing else worked. It is a paste and removed water spots from the rear windows on my TBSS when it was new.

Distilled white vinegar mixed with water will remove hard water stains on paint and windows

80 grit.

Actually i have seen a lot of guys use Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish on things like glass, plastic headlight housings, etc.
