Seems every car site i go to its all forums, nothing against forums but some guys have emergencies or assistance asap, also its funner to talk to others live, anyone else with me? :2cents:

We tried it. it was never occupied, slow and subsequently removed from the board. Like Renz said, most people have links to one of the big internet messengers and you can make a syty group on one of those.

Actually a few of us where in it everyday. Wish it came back as I can't use any other method here at work

irc can be intertwined into html
all it would take is a one time plug-in download
and it spans browsers

there's a bunch of clients out there

all it would take is an admin to google

What's wrong with Firefox/Mozilla?

Do you like things to be installed automatically without you knowing about it? Do you like giving access to your computer to hackers? Internet Explorer is very unsecure. Google it and you will find out why.

The only version of IE I would even consider using is 7 and it's not even released yet.

IE is the main reason countless computers world-wide are zombies full of viruses and spyware.

Im not installing something that forces people to only use a certain browser. I personally dont like Firefox but thats beside the point, we'll find something better, thanks though. :tup:

Sorry Morgan, this is not a Bla Bla issue you so make it to be. I'm serious when I say IE is un-secure, there are so many people out there who know nothing about computer and it sickens me that you would give 2 sheet's to the wind about internet security.

Your on the web a lot and you probably know how to keep your computer clean, hopefully aside from just letting your virus software take care of it. There is more to it than that my friend.

Please do your homework on the issue before vowing to Microsoft and everything they spoon feed you.

IE is the leading cause of spyware/viruses on the internet.

why ? BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE UN EDUCATED ABOUT IT.

Get educated.

Opera is great, it basically can emulate any browsers code in one application. Good choice!

thats fine dude, but this is a blah blah issue because this thread is about a CHAT, not internet security or what browser people should use or anything else.

You wanna make an internet security thread, be my guest but Im not getting into it here and now. I appreciate the chat suggestion, but I know personally Id never be able to use it and im sure many other non-computer oriented people would be in the same situation. ;)
