Weird SGT

This is bizarre.

I came across a '92 Sonoma today at a used car lot. Just a basic 4x4 extended cab.

Then I popped the hood.

I'm thinking WTF,ya know,so I dig a little deeper.....

The VIN is 1GDCS14Z5N0820808. :eek:

I'm just lost. It basically has a SGT VIN but has the Z code same as a Syclone. It is AWD but has a 5 speed and no evidence of cladding. :dunno:

The truck appears to be all original and only has 30k miles.

What the hell is this?

What do you guys think?

Some paint and rims and a few things it would be a sweet truck. It is clean too. What's the interior look like?

who cares if it is wierd, buy that thing at a steal. times are hard but that truck in the right hands ..........

That's pretty cool & a great sleeper. You can even recline the seat.

Assuming you're not pulling our legs; I say buy it. It's either a nicely done engine swap or its some production anomaly that would be cool to own.

Who cares about the truck...Cleanest stock engine award. Few factory stickers are missing and that decal isnt supposed to be on the intake, but damn thats a clean motor. Even has the AC Delco battery :tup:

I just tried the VIN on the homepage of Carfax and Carfax claims the VIN is incorrect.

That was funny while it lasted. I thought I put enough garbage in that post that everyone would call BS.

I work in the parts dept of a GM delaership, and I ran that vin and it is invalid. One thing though, where it is S1, that denotes a 2WD If it was a Syclone, it would be T1 for 4WD.
