What cam shaft and gaskets?

So I am building a motor for my ty. I got a block out of a 2000 astro. A set of l-35 heads sent the crank out and had it balanced with eagle rods and probe pistons. It is time to get cam shaft and gaskets. Do I gasket for the l-35 motor or the 2000 astro? Also because I am removing the balance shaft do I get a cam for non balanc shaft motor or get a cam using the year of the block? Also liking for timing chain set as well.

You need parts/gaskets for the 2000 Balance Shaft motor. The intake gaskets for L35.

Yes it needs a balance shaft camshaft. The front of the motor, crankshaft and timing chain are spaced differently than the non balanceshaft motors.

Awesome. That was exactly what I was lookin for. Is it pretty easy to find timing chain set for them? And is there one you know of that is better bang for the buck ?
