Re: What car is this AC delete pulley from?

As far as contact on the water pump goes, thats only if you ahve a stock POS fan. They suck, get rid of it either way. One more thing to cut your fingers off I say!!! Its gotta weigh 20lbs with shroud and all, tossit!! Youll be happy. I am HAHA!!! I got a fan set up out of an 02 Stratus that has 2 fans and fits the radiator perfect, used the stock shroud and cut it up just to modify to hold the radiator in place. Used a $5 piece of metal to hold the fan in place and bingo. Wiring was a breeze for the most part. Used the thermostat doohickywhachamacallibob. I recommmend everyone who works on thier truck frequently do this setup. I have had nothing but good luck with it. As for pics, Ill take some and post up here in a few hours.

Yeah good luck with that. Youll have to come over and measure it all. I got the eyelets at Whistler Bearing and had to have the sleeve made. I have no clue what size the belt is. I wrapped a string around it to measure then went to Autozone and matched one up.

Are those regular turnbuckles from Home Depot?

Yeah, but modified. I pressed a 3/8" brass spacer into the eylets so theres no slop for the bolt. I accidentaly stripped the bolt hole on the alternator, so I drilled it out and tapped it to 3/8" also. Everthing is snug and real sturdy.

Whisler bearing is closed on Sundays and my budget was about $20. Yours obviously looks a little better with those sweet swiveling eylets.

So did this require the reverse water pump since the pulley seems to be spinning in the other direstion now?

it spins the same direction if you ask me, the only thing different is the surface the belt gets driven up on

Re: What car is this AC delete pulley from?

It does indeed spin the same direction. No reverse rotation water pump required. The SB Chevy guys need a reverse rotation pump which would be the same as our stock pump...

They dont need reverse rotation. Their set up as far as bracketry is identical. My 94 K3500 4x4 work truck has the exact everything on the accessory set up.

Holy dead thread batman. We need a smiley for that

Anyway, Chevy swapped to reverse rotation water pumps when they switched to serpentine. So the S trucks got it in 82, the fullsize trucks I think didn't get it until 86 or 87.
