looks like a dealer right in between Brooklyn and Queens. If the truck has been there its whole life, I can promise you those are a hard 58,000 miles for sure.

My shop is near Ozone Park.I seen a black Ty earlier this spring in a lot on atlantic ave. The name of the dealership is automotion. It was there for a while-I checked it out and it was definitely white before. I'm not sure if this is the same truck because the guy said he had another black one for sale(not on the lot at the time). I am over there every day-if you need my help with anything give me a call-I can go check if it's the same truck that used to be white.

I was just looking at the pics on the Ebay ad- the lot I was talking about is next to Logan Bus company which you can clearly see in some of the pics. These pics were taken in the Taco Bell across the street. Like I said before I'm not sure if it's the same Ty I seen earlier this year but that one was definitely white before(I picked up the carpet) and also I forgot to mention the bottom of the doors are rusty on the inside(not too bad)-If it's the same one.

strange that the frame rails look so good with the wheels looking like they've lived a hard life... maybe it's been pieced together??

Thats my take on them, due to review on both trucks. You can see that the fading on the cladding isn't consistent, the stickers are installed in the wrong locations, wheels/miles? yeah right, and the one has been rear ended. Check for waves along the "indented body line" and the rear side windows. Check alignment on the tailgate/bumper "gaps" and see if you feel roughness (over spray) under the gate lip. The other Ty has inconsitent fade on the grille, and the bumper doesn't have any gap. I'd say buyer beware and look else where for a truck.

I will never buy another northern truck. 52K Ty I got outta Chicago 8 yrs ago had rust on the freakin seat brackets.Sold that one and kept the nice one. :tup:

Just buy a truck with no rust and go from there.Mileage is moot really,but condition ownz.

The frame looks like they sprayed undercoating when it was up on a lift.
Rear wheel does not look centered in the well. -unless it is the angle?? -or they are all like that???

This is all pretty interesting. I hadn't looked at Ty's before so if this one was listed on ebay previously, that's why I didn't catch it.

I'm supposed to look at a Sy this Friday evening down in NY and might contact the Ty seller to see if I can check out his truck as well, although from the sounds of it, this truck sounds fishy.

Yeah, Just like this greatly preserved POS from MI. The leaf springs rusted away from the frame, I took all 4 fender flares off with my bare hands!! There were places rusted that I'd never seen on an S10! Exhaust was gone from axle to cat as the rest fell off on my trailer. The side steps are barely attached, and you can pull the bottom of the doors back. Interior I gutted revealed extensive rust.... I'll never buy anything from MI again. Pic does not do justice....

There are a few threads about that company and truck. They tell you they have other lots, clean carfax, one owner its all bull shit. I have never dealt with the dealer direct but from the threads that were posted about them its pretty bad. Good luck and make sure if you do decide to go look at it look it over good and do your research on what to look for specifically for a ty. Theres a buyers document that tells you what to look for. Did great for me!!!

and the best part is that truck looks better than the sonoma GT I went and looked at and yes they are still 100% road legal :tup: Michigan dumps tons of salt on the roads from november till Feb, basically you drive on a salt water slurry for 3 months, Ive seen 3 and 4 year old cars with rust holes, dont forget Morton salt their largest salt mine is directally under detroit :tdown:
