What I found in my Tcase

Ok, so I took my Tcase out today to investigate the Viscous and put in the new one I got. I did not do any troubleshooting but found that when I took the VC out, the forward bearing assembly had worked its way off a little bit, therefore leaving enough room for the VC to move back and fourth. Any thoughts on if this could have contributed to my constant breeakage of CV shafts or how this would happen in the first place?

Check the WHOLE case out. It took a hell of a longitudinal type shot to break that loose. It's pressed on. There should've been a little hardened spacer and then the shaft. Was the spacer still there? Look at the pics in my gallery and you'll see it.

Re: What I found in my Tcase

Spacer was there. Everything was there actually. All the bearings still looked good from last rebuild. I built it back in 03, or was it 04? I did however end replacing the planetary gear since it was fairly worn. Other than that there was nothing else wrong. I wonder if the T-case laying around it got struck by something? Only thing I can think of. Not sure what either as I always had it set aside.
