I am in the market for some new tires i am going with the stock size. I drag race the truck and i want something that hooks up good on the street. I was looking at some Toyo proxes. What do you guys think??

I've had great luck with the BFG's drag radials but a lot of guys on here swear by NITTOs

How do drag radials hold up on the front. Everybody i have talked to thinks they will wear out wear out real fast on the front.

That's bs... i have proxe tqs on mine and they work great, they dont last forever, but if you drive like a white man they will hold up fine...

Will a 255/50 fit a stock wheel and not rub? How much did you pay i was looking at them but they dont come in a 245. I honestly don't really understand how tire sizes work i have only ever bought the size that is on the sticker on the the door jabs lol.

I don't see why there would be any issues running them up front :dunno:
Some people do just run them on back only but that may just be all that's needed to obtain traction...

the first number is the width/second number is the height. Tirerack.com has good charts that break down actual diameter/width/ recomended rim size for each size tire

They will probably rub... i have 255/55s on my stock wheels on a lowered ty and they rub like a biatch. And idk if the tqs come in 245s or not, mine are 275s and 315s.

No, they rub whenever i hit a bump at all, thats why i put my wheels with the drag tires on... if ur at stock height you probably dont have to worry, but since im lowered it rubs like an sob...

I appreciate the offer but i thing i am just gonna go with some some regular high performance Radials i have riken raptor zr's on it now and i like them but they wore out really fast and they have flat spots from sitting in the garage my truck is all stock and i plan on keeping it that way for a awhile i just have a good tune on it now and it just chirps my pos rikens so i think some good toyos will suit my needs just fine.
