Hi Guys, I Had A 93 All White Ty And Want To Buy Another. Anyone Out There Like The Color Teal? Or All Red? I Would Like To Hear Back From You Guys, Thanks!!!! Turbozar22

I have to be honest. I did not own a Sy for very long but I'm falling in love with the history and rareness of the vehicle. I was always a GM fan but to finally own a peice of history makes me jump for joy. Personally, I would like to look for a Ty now so I can own both a Ty and Sy. Maybe even have the Ty as my every day driver (since it has more seats, and the kids could ride along) and my Sy my trailor/garage/drag queen.
As far as colors go, black is my favotire, but owning a different color Ty would just add to the rare side of it. There is a local guy here who owns a Ty in pretty bad shape. It runs good but the body is in need of some major help. In a few months I would like to offer him some cash for it and see what happens. It is a black one. Good luck in your search for a Ty. I was one of the few lucky ones who was able to find a decent Sy quickly and seal a deal. They were asking 13,500 for it and I paid 10 grand cash. Lots of miles on the body, but a fresh rebuilt motor and tranny with only 15k miles. Very far from stock, just needs tuned. Again, good luck. Wait for a good deal, it will come.

not a big fan of the teal... then again i don't like the white ones either. But if i were gonna go with a different color than black... I'd either get a 92 all red, or a green gray. I like the 92's better cause the grille isn't painted... :2cents:

When I wanted to buy either a sy or a ty,I knew the sy's were all black,and knew the ty's came in a few different colors,but didnt know some were more rare than others.So I went to look at this ty,and I wanted one so bad I didn't care what color except I didn't want white.Well it was a 92 teal ty,I wasn't too crazy about the color at first,but it grew on me real quick.Then I really liked it.It was nice having the only one this color around where I live,and showing up at syty meets and having the only one made it even better.I had it for about 6 1/2 years.Sold it Jan '07,and one of the main reasons was because I wanted to make it faster,but didn't want to cut up a nice 95% original rare color truck.

I'd say go with a color you can see yourself having.

Are you talking about Sy/Ty colors? Wasn't Garnet only done in '93
