Will SY/TY wheels fit on GT? Offset Problem?

I would like to know if the offset on the SY/TY wheels will be a problem on my Somoma GT. Bolt pattern is same, just don't know about offset. Please help.

No they won't fit. They would be set inward to far and would hit the steering arm. You might be able to run Billet spacers to push them out but they would have to be maybe 1 1/2 or 2". Not sure though.

Really? I wasnt aware they wouldnt functionally work. I was under the opinion that while they would stick out from the fenders, they would still work without rubbing.
The sticking out is something some fender flares could fix, but rubbing on suspension parts is a different matter.

I thank you for your help guys, but now I have two different stories. Can anyone say for sure it can't be done? Any other facts?

Thanks again,
Maverick

they actually want stick out, they will stick "in"....

Daron. remember the Sy Clone at E-town that was for sale that was 2WD and had those huge spacers behind the wheels... thats what he would have to do....

mad mav, i had the same problem when i wanted to put sy/ty wheels on my 2wd blazer. but after buying the wheels, i wasnt gonna let a simple problem of offset get in my way. so i called my friends uncle who owns a wheel shop, took the wheels and my blazer down there, and after a few phone calls, i had billet adapters on order and they showed up the next day, and i was in business! now that ive put the stock wheels back on the blazer in an attempt to sell it, i have my extra set of beat up sy wheels in the garage, along with adapters that ill probly never use again... i have 1.5" adapters for the front, and i think the rear adapters are .75" or 1". if youd be interested in them, drop me a line, and we'll work a deal for them.
