Windshield Wipers

Had my windshield replaced today, Diamond Autoglass. Very Nice people, nice tech and free Omaha Steaks!!! :cowboy:

As I was about to park the Ty in the garage - I noticed that he failed to replace the wiper arms and windshield wipers!! :steamer:

I chased after him but I could not find him. I called Diamond and to make along story short, he placed the wipers on TOP of his van and now he can't find them! :shoot:

My question is this, are the wiper arms for a 1993 Ty the same as for a Jimmy? Diamond had to order them from a dealer and it will take at least a week. Luckily, I drove down my street and found the driver's-side wiper, banged up, but it works, so I can drive in case it rains.

Thanks, that puts my mind at ease. Hopefully the dealer does not mess up the order.

Re: Windshield Wipers

Look at it this way....you'll be gettng new wiper blades, thus reducing the risk of scratching your new windshield vs using the old ones:rotf: . Due to bad blades we have a nice arch shaped scratch on our windshield

Re: Windshield Wipers

how did he remove them (or more importantly, how do I remove them?)

When mine goe from ledft to right (return wipe) the right hand one bounces. Can I fix that easily or do I need new blades? These are new incidentally.

cheers,

Mark

Post dated 9/2005 Body, Paint & Detailing. Don't know how to forward that to you. Here is a link, I think. http://www.syty.net/forums/showpost.php?p=274542&postcount=5

I was lucky the windshield guy left a tool that does the trick.
