Re: Flywheel tooth count...153 or 168...??? This TCI I ordered from Summit is a 168 tooth, SFI approved, 0.035 in thicker than stock, and internal engine balanced.

Re: Flywheel tooth count...153 or 168...??? well after ordering the TCI, I check back on this thread and hear some bad things about it. I think it should be fine for my application, its better than stock...however I will possibly take off the coating where it bolts up just to make sure. Good...

Re: Flywheel tooth count...153 or 168...??? Alright, I'm going with 168. I've tried to find some other info and found I should be calling it a flexplate not flywheel and it seems that the Syclones have "the larger" flexplate which is the 168 tooth. Now I just have to decide to go with TCI or B&M.

Changing my starter noticed my flywheel is pretty hammered. Needs to be replaced..but without trying to count :roll: ...does anybody know the correct tooth count for the Syclone is it 153 or 168?? I was going to order one from Summit as soon as possible so I can get my Sy back on the road...

Re: Same hard to start prob...with new twist. Checked the torque of the motor for broken mounts ...looks normal, good. Checked the Battery ground....everythings tight, good. Belts nice and tight...all conections are good, no loose wires. Figured out stabbing the throttle on low battery causes...

Re: Same hard to start prob...with new twist. Its a Syclone.... and don't have a datamaster yet. Its a brand new ALT from RPM less than 2k on it.

Alright been battling same problem as most on this site....viewed/seen and executed most remedies that people have submitted. But still have same hard to start problems with a new twist to it. All lights go dim and battery needle drops all the way down, when I floor it or accelerate getting on...

So I saw a Syclone for the second time in the past 2 weeks. :tup: First time was in the morning exiting the 73 fwy at Bison and I saw...I believe the same one yesterday at 12:30pm on Macarther in Newport Beach. Its painted solid gloss black including cladding with it looked like chrome stock...
