yeah im guessing they arent gonna show,i went out tonight and raced a few charged saleens "friends of mine'and the kids buddy was there,he seen the truck get out of the hole and says i think the honda is still gonna win,i gave up lol.tonight i was on crappy cam2 gas and 17 deg timeing and 18 psi and it still is strong ,but no were the same as higher timeing and 26 psi on vp116 the thing pulls so more

i swear he said it ,i then gave up,good i hate hondas and ricers,then another guy wanted to bet me that it wasnt a v6 tonight when i raced the stangs i luve it,i opend the hood under the parking lot light and told him to count spark plug wires.

A friend of mine had a civic, dynoed somewhere areound 500-550, with slicks he barely squeezed a 10.9 I believe. Either way on the street he wouldnt stand a chance. Its the same everywhere, some many people talk so much sh!t its rediculous. :roll:

Money scares alot of people. Even after they want to race for it, but then second guess it later. Example..

I pulled up at a light one afternoon in the truck, and there was a 93/94 Mustang GT sitting there, not a bad looking car I thought. I had my windows down, and as soon as I came to a stop he started rev'ing.. :roll: So I looked over and go.. "alright, from right here to the next light" (Might have been 1/8 of a mile at best.) To which he replys "I only race for money".. no problem there I thought. "I have $500 right here says you cant touch me, I tell him." He laughed, got in the turn lane and turned off the road when the turn light went green.

I say get the gas and beat the ever loving shit outta him. sand bagging can be scarry especially if nos is involved

My recipe:

Always bring your truck out at 100% max performance. Be ready for anything. I've beaten people and then had their friends show up wanting to go double or nothing. What if friend is faster? You'll be glad that you had them both covered.

Have someone you trust hold the money.

Bring a 9mm if money is on the line, just in case people get stupid.

Everyone wants to race for money, until they see you pull away.

Did it happen yet? I am anxious to see the video. I find it interesting that people always talk HP. You can have tons of HP, but what does it run? Success is always a recipe of traction and power. A guy at the track told me years ago about something similar to this, "The bullshit stops, once the lights drop." So true. In time we will find out. I would bet my money on a no show rather than the race! Got to be there to compete!

It depends on if the kid does some research too. I can't believe that his friend saw you run and he still thinks the Honda will beat you. If this race is anything under a 1/2 mile you will destroy him.

ok update the kid that owns the car was going to let his friend race it but decided to run it himself,he goes to college 2 hours away from here ,which is were he lives ,he is suppose to come during the week or by sat so lets see if he does show up.yeah the friend is a real spank balls,it will be a lil less than a 1/4,im guessing on a no show to but i duuno they are pretty positive they can win.

STROKER!!. Now he's pushing the race out. Tell you what. NYIRP has time trials and test and tune on Wed and Friday nights. Lets bring it to the track and lay some smack down. OR if he does show this weekend, me, Jeff and Dameon will be there to ensure a "smooth" evening.

I don't think this race will happen. He's already giving you the run around. If he was so sure he was going to Win and 1000 dls., why not do it on any day of the week? I would do it in the middle of the night, then call in sick next morning and enjoy the $$$$.

BTW easy win for you. Hope it happens so you can smoke the crap out of him and help him live and learn something New!

LOCK IT IN... like we do get agree to a deposit and if the other doesn't show he'll lose the deposit that way it kind forces the race or someone loses there money for being a pussy
