Thank You guy for your support and service.

Not very many people tell us that. After the sept 11 horror the fire service got a little respect for what we do. Now several yrs later noone really thinks about it until the next disaster.

Again Thanks

Nice to now there are a few FF that own SY/TY's

Re: Any Firefighters here

How about a retired FF? I worked for the Philadelphia FD for 29 years, retired in 04. My Ty has a fire fighter related story. When I purchased it from FC Kerbeck in NJ the sales guy was the son of a fire Lieutenent that had been one of my instructors in fire school. He later told me that I got one of the last two 92 Typhoons that Kerbeck had, the other one went to a Captain in the Camden FD.

Hey Slo-

Which of those 2 trucks is in the shop more? The Sy or the E-One:D

We have all E-Ones also, but I am a Pierce guy myself. Seems E-Ones are the Jaguar of the fire service--for each one you have, you better have another in reserve for when it breaks down!

Actually so Far it has been great. It's the best driving truck we have. the turning radius is amazing!

The biggest thing i hate about the truck is the back end as it has the new labeling thats yellow and red.

When we first took delivery of our ladder truck it has a issue where the throttle at the pump panel would be very slow respond. But a new ecm fixed that problem.

The toughest truck we have in the fleet is that darned old tanker and everybody treets it like $hit and it keep on trucking.

The other 2 E-ones have 52-53 have cummins engines. the new truck has a detroit.

I'm kinda partial to the E-one but i'll drive what ever they buy cause it means i'm still working:) they actually was going to with a rosenbauer truck.

but to answer your questions is the sy no doubt breaks down more.
