That's a good point. Stock pan fits if you're using a one piece rms block with a one piece rms crank.

It does NOT fit if you're using a one piece rms block with an adapter for a two piece rms crank. It also does NOT fit if you're using a two piece rms block.

Matt you may have saved yourself an oil pan by switching blocks.

I would kinda like to have it sonic checked, but the machine shops around here don't have that ability. I'd probably have to take it to a bigger city to find a place to do that, and it's about 150 miles in any direction to any city.

I didn't have him check the lifter bores. What would I need to have checked about them? It does have bronze? bushed lifter bores though. I thought maybe the block came machined with larger lifter bores to accommodate larger diameter lifters and bushed back to the "normal" size. But, like I said before, I don't know much about the block to begin with, so I'm just guessing. lol

I'm not saying if I have the money to build it either, hahahaha, but I do have a plan. I can't say much about this plan due to rules though.... LOL

You need the right adapter.

See I have a two piece crank with 2 piece seal

The stock oil pan did not clear the main caps for me, he seems to have the same main caps as mines,
