Re: datamaster

You may have been asked this before, but is your chip in the truck stock? Is the truck stock? This is really important information.

Re: datamaster

Your IAT's drop by 20 degrees when you are into the throttle. Are you running meth? Lots of questions. The knock retard does not look good at all. Boost is very unstable. Have you checked all the vac lines?

Re: datamaster

yeah man your gonna have to list your mods because as bad as your boost control is I bet you have a completely stock turbo with no cat or muffler on there. List your mods and we'll probably be able to iron out some of these issues.

i think the truck is mostly stock . i made different intake with a 90 and air filter by the battery ,shurflo intercooler pump .i just installed a BOV greddy rs . the chip is stock i think i had it out and it looks stock . i have a hypertech i can try . vacuum lines are pretty new . . the truck ran like shit when i got it did a tuneup with ur6 plugs, good wires and cap . i thought it was running great but according to datamaster NO . . a/c delete no cruise . no meth or nothin .

Re: datamaster

I can't look at your recent file because the computer I'm on does not have datamaster but:

A couple things I can think of are did you verify you are getting flow in your intercooler all of the air removed??? Did you recently just put the pump on there??? If you search on that there is plenty of info on it.

You mentioned that you recently checked the chip in the ECM, did you properly seat it back in, this can cause knock issues also. The knock readings on your previous thread are not anything I've seen before.

I would stay out of hard throttle runs until you get some of these things sorted out.

If you stay with one post and continue to post new files I think that will help also instead of creating new posts:)

Re: datamaster

This run looked better as far the knock is concerned. did not see the erratic readings like I did on your first run????

Your right the truck is still running hot, I would check your cooling system, radiator, fan, etc.... I assume when you started the test the truck was warmed up??? The temp. reading starts at 208 in the begining??

The Intake Temps are still high IMHO, but if your pump is not hot wired, the pump might not come on till 200deg. F????

I would suggest hot wiring it to keep the temps and knock down as much as you can.

Start with one thing and try to fix that first!!!!

Re: datamaster

its not the floormats , cant get wide open

Check the TPS (Throttle Postion Sensor). you can do this with a ohm meter. somewhere on here has the values for what the resistance should be. Let me check a spare I have...hold please. looking down on TPS (lever on top) with probes in center and right connectors. at closed position the ohms are 5.67 K ohms, at fully open, ohms are 688 ohms. takes a few seconds to pull the TPS and check this with any good voltmeter. HTH.

Re: datamaster

it seems like my spark retard goes up and down most when im not really on it like 25 % tps . when i go wide open it seems to stay under 4* . here is my newest file if anybody can make sense of the one from last night and today . . i got it wide open 100%tps by really pushing pedal hard http://www.mediafire.com/?3ivsjeytq7h4zz2
