I have heard of the show, tell me you aren't racing a Sy/Ty please!
Hmmm..... I need to get out of my other obligations for that weekend (and get my truck running good enough to even go in the first place

Nope.....he's not racing a SyTy. A buddy of his is entering a car and Dubb is going down with him. Racing for pink slips dictates that building something fast on the cheap is the key (that definitely puts a SyTy out of consideration.)

Actually OSW has been kicking ass here lately. I cut a 1.6 60' on some old ass Mcreary tires leaving the line at only 3lbs of boost. And my suspension hasnt been messed with. I basically just bolted on the upper and lower control arms and set pinion angle. I didnt get a chance to fine tune it.

That's funny Adam, only nights you go are Rice nights. The track hooks like a mofo when it's prepped for a real race. They do run low 5's on it in March, and the Drag Radial cars went low 1.20 60' last October. Orlando hooks a tenth better than that shitty Lakeland track.

Isnt Gainesville like 15-20 min farther then OSW from Daytona, wouldnt it be better just to go there? Not really have to worrie about the suckness of OSW then..
Maybe not, because I guess you dont have a direct road like I4 from Daytona to Gain's.. But still.

I havent been to OSW in about 4-5 months now. Maybe they've been doing something new, but that last time I was there. Shit, I was luck to pull a 2.2 in my Z28 just coming off idle. :roll: :dunno:

That's what happens when you line up in lanes 3-6... you have a bunch of assholes in FWD cars drag water upto the line. If you have even a low 14 ride and know how to drive around the water, then you can get in lanes 1&2 with a helmet. The old days it was 12s to get over there, and my low 13s for 4 months was killin me, but they allowed me there anyhow with proper etiquette. A good cleaning of the tires and at least 50psi in them, I can make any FBody get a 1.7x 60' on rain tires.

If I happen to get the Z out there again, maybe I'll try those lanes. I know if I go out there with the Sy I'm getting, I'll need a helmet anyway. Maybe I can get out there with you one night Christian.

Well, I hate to do it...but It looks like a probably cant make it now. Since school owns my apt. and they make me leave at the beginning of may, I cant stay in Daytona. Anyway, I am working something out to stay in Jacksonville with some friends, but its going to end up being to much hassle to stay for a month. I'll still help out if you guys need anything from around here until I have to leave, so let me know.
Oh yea, the speedway thing wouldnt really be worth it. And they never really explain what all they offer for that kind of stuff.
Anyone up for a Central FL meet soon?... :roll:

We can set something up. Just like a lounge type thing like dinner or something.
Adam....I bellmouthed the IC and you forgot to tighten a hose clamp on the turbo to ic hose...no wonder it was so dog nuts slow. I also replace the twistie tie with a zip tie and bumped up the idle and it seems to idle a lot smoother and feels like a solid low 13 at whatever boost level this is(still slow). I couldn't believe that the little metal cap is still on the throttle body that covers the idle adjustment screw. Does it have a 2 bar or 3 bar map? Im guessing 2.
