Figure theres enough time yet to do a bit of planning.


Seems the Race Rock event has gotten a bit...well, boring. Anyone agree that its time to change it up and go for a different location?

Hood mentioned at the GAST meet that he and a few others would probably cruise down and join us. Id like to see a change in scenery myself.

Ideas anyone?

Im in for wherever the phuck it is. Last year i fractured my ankle so walking wasnt in my schedule. This year both ankles will be working (knock on wood). I wouldnt mind naples again, or somewhere on the east coast for a change i guess. The naples events were the best years i think.

My reasoning is its fairly centralized, and theres lots to do... maybe we can get a pic of all the trucks on the beach too :D

Naples is pretty far south, especially for the Georgia guys.

I agree Ian, I was thinking daytona in the back of my mind. All the west coast guys can come up i4 right into daytona....all the southeast guys can go north on 95.....and all the northeast guys can go south on 95. Plus we can do a beach shot i suppose. Just make sure you wash the underside of your truck really well when yer done with the beach. My vote is for daytona.

I'm down for Daytona......saves us about 280 miles and 5 hours each way.

BTW, Memorial Day is always on a Monday.

Thats cool, I'm only about a hour drive from the beach with a little traffic. I take that back, about a hour and a half. I was going off of my old mans place, which is a little closer to the beach.

Just post a new thread when you guys make the real plans, I'll be there.

Where would be a good place to set it up over the weekend? A hotel? I guess we should start getting hotel avail/rates.

The beach wont hurt the trucks... ive taken my Sy and parked it on the beach many times while I surfed. Like J-Bar said, just clean em well, your fine.

Daytona seems good. Lots to do, and im sure we can find some sort of carshow or go crusing.

Memorial Day is always the last Monday in May (unless you're a hard-core Confederalist with no regard for any war other than the Civil War ;) ). There was a bill presented in '99 to celebrate Memorial Day on May 30th (regardless of day of the week), but it has since not passed.
